What can I use Transpack Black Polybags for?
Our black bags are ideal for packaging your items securely and confidentially, as they are opaque. Ideal for light sensitive products, medical equipment and food applications. You can also use them to colour-code products. They are commonly used in factories, departments and warehouses, and are often used to wrap tools or other smaller items. Because they are made from food safe film, they can hold food products, as well as other objects.
How strong are Black Polythene bags heavy duty?
At 500 gauge, they are very strong, which makes them ideal for sharp-edged objects or awkwardly-shaped items.
How to measure a polythene bag ?
These bags are measured as follows: width first, then length. So this bag is 178mm wide by 406mm long.
Please note sizes can vary by a few mm due to manufacturing tolerances - Width +/- 3mm or 2%, Length +/- 6mm or 2%, Gauge +/- 10%. This means that the sizing could vary very slightly between batches.
How can I be sure that I am ordering the right bag?
Double check the measurements against your product, remembering that these bags are flat and if your product has depth that will impact on the width you need and you could well need a wider bag than you think. What is Transpack's returns policy?
If you do happen to order the wrong bags or you find it is not suitable for your requirements, we will happily accept them back, unused and in a saleable condition. You will need to contact us right away on 02380 869999 / sales@transpack.co.uk and request a returns number (RMA). We will need to receive the bags back within 14 days of when you received them. You will need to send them back at your own cost, and once received we will make the refund for the product to you quickly.

These bags have resin code 4 and are recyclable. You should check with your local Council to see if you can recycle plastic bags and film with your household recycling. Some Local Authorities will take it away but it is limited.
For those who can't recycle plastic films and bags at home, you can take it to be recycled at carrier bag collection points at the larger stores of most major supermarkets including Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, The Co-op and Waitrose.
