Compostable Small Clear Display Bags
Our most popular small clear gift bags are also available in eco-friendly compostable Nativia® film. These perfectly clear bags are ideal for retail packaging and display of jewellery, beads, crafts, cosmetics, soaps, sweets & confectionery, small toys and gift products. They are food safe.
The bags are made from biodegradable 30 micron Nativia® film - an industrially compostable film made from renewable resources (PLA bio-based resin is sourced from corn or other sources such as sugar beet and potatoes among others). It is also Vegan friendly, as is the ink used to print on them. It takes less energy to produce Nativia® film and therefore it has a lower carbon footprint than other oil-based plastics like Polypropylene, Polythene and PET. The film manufacturers recommend that these bags are stored in a cool, dry area away from sunlight and odours, and used within 18 months from time of purchase.
The film is fully industrially compostable according to the EN13432 standard and has achieved the OK BIOBASED certificate from Vincotte. This certification means that you can be sure that it will break down quite quickly into carbon dioxide, water and biomass by microbial digestion in the right conditions.
